CATHAL BRUGHA was appointed President of the Ministry pro. tem.
The Meeting here adjourned in order to enable the President to submit the names of the officers of the Ministry in accordance with Article 2 (Clause b.) of the Constitution. On resuming, the President submitted, and the Dáil approved, of the following nominations to the Ministry:—
This was to be a temporary ministry, designed to hold the fort until the release of the main Sinn Féin leaders.
Finance Minister—E. MACNEILL.
Home Affairs—M. COLLINS.
Foreign Affairs—COUNT PLUNKETT.
National Defence—R. MULCAHY.

Piaras Béaslaí dissented because Eoin MacNeill had previously professed no expertise in finance.
