On 21 January 2019 the Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl TD, will preside over a special centenary sitting of Dáil Éireann in the Round Room of the Mansion House.
Members of Dáil Éireann will meet in the Round Room of the Mansion House, the venue where the very first meeting of Dáil Éireann was convened, for a special centenary sitting.
Teachta Dála will be joined by Members of Seanad Éireann, descendants of those elected to the first Dáil, representatives of EU parliaments, former Members of Dáil Éireann, representatives of civil society and others.
This special sitting will be marked with an address from President Michael D. Higgins, a collective motion that recommits to the ideals of parliamentary democracy, special musical performances and themed video content.
